Market Reports

As of September 11, 2026

Butcher cows traded with better demand this week. Good kill cows were in the $200-218. Youngish cows and feeding types were much stronger with a consignment of fancy simx cows trading in the $230-265 range. Good dairy cows traded $170-185. Poor, weak or very thin Holstein cows are very hard to move currently. Prices around $1 are common. Bulls were few and moderate in quality and topped out at $270. Feeder cattle were few, with a mixture of yearling cattle and fresh calves off the cows. Yearlings were shaky on quality and felt the impact of the shaky market the most. Very few calves on offer this week but 400-600 lb steer calves are in the $550-700 range.
