Butcher cows trades fully steady this week on grain fed cows, while Holstein cows traded $5-7 higher. WE HAD AN ALL TIME HIGH COW WEIGH 2400 lbs AND SHE PUNCHED HER TICKET AT $264.50 FETCHING $6348!! Feeding type cows continue to trade with excellent demand showing optimism that the cow market should remain strong going forward. Good bulls traded stronger as well as high yielding bulls traded from $280-295, WITH THE EXCEPTION OF A BIG CHAR BULL WEIGHING IN AT 2535 lbs AT $302.50 FOR $7668!! Feeder cattle traded fully steady this week with excellent demand on all classes. Despite smaller numbers this week the market was fueled by local orders putting together grass cattle for the summer grazing season. Replacement type heifers continue to trade at levels very similar to what the steers are bringing.

SUCH ANIMALS WILL BE SUBJECT TO FINES IF DETECTED BY CFIA AT ALL AUCTION MARKETS.

Horned cattle are beginning to be discounted more and more all the time. If you want your cattle to bring a premium price they must be horn free.
If you are planning on selling calves in the next month or so, please call ahead to book your cattle with us. If we know how many cattle are coming it allows us to inform buyers so they can have adequate trucks available.

A REMINDER TO PRODUCERS TO GET YOUR PREMISE ID NUMBERS FROM THE GOVERNMENT. THIS IS GOING TO BECOME MANDATORY IN 2020. ALL PRODUCERS WILL NEED TO FILL OUT MANIFESTS WHENEVER THEY TRANSPORT CATTLE FROM HOME TO EITHER AUCTION MARTS OR PASTURES. THESE MANIFESTS WILL HAVE TO INCLUDE YOUR PREMISE ID NUMBERS AS PART OF THE NEW NATIONAL TRACIBILITY PROGRAM.
